The bolt fluting that I do is very similar to the Remington 700 Titanium.
I have done so many that I have this process down to a science!!
Notice the pilot that fits precisely into the firing pin hole. This keeps the hole from being deformed.
I have many different pilots and each bolt is precisely matched with proper size pilot.
Just like barrel fluting, I use plenty of coolant! This keeps the cutter cool and sharp, which produces a better flute finish.
